Matthew's Story
Matthew has earned the title of "Teenage Chaos Wrangler" with over 10 years of dedicated work as a transformative youth advocate and educator. His expertise is not limited to classrooms. He has also shared his insights with organizational leaders at conferences such as the Illinois Student Assistance Commission Conference and the College Access Symposium at Moraine Valley Community College.
Today, he serves as the chair of a high school credit recovery program, working with students diagnosed with a range of disabilities including autism spectrum disorder and oppositional defiance disorder. Matthew’s approach is rooted in connection, compassion, mutual learning and the creation of an environment that harnesses the power of people who insist on living life by their own terms.
